R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt
  regarding the tragic loss of sisters Brianna Robinson, age 19, and
  Jade Robinson, age 17, of Houston, on March 20, 2016; and
         WHEREAS, These beloved young women were born into a loving
  family that included their mother, Stacey Robinson, their father
  and stepmother, Toren and Zina Robinson, and their older brother,
  Dr. Toron Wooldridge; at an early age, they learned the
  fundamentals of track and field under the direction of their father
  and went on to become star athletes and honor-roll students in the
  Houston Independent School District; in addition, they were valued
  congregants at Windsor Village United Methodist Church; and
         WHEREAS, Smart, sophisticated, and compassionate, Brianna
  Robinson competed in track, swimming, and gymnastics at Pershing
  Middle School and continued her education at Bellaire High School;
  aspiring to become a school administrator, she volunteered as a
  principal's assistant with Houston ISD, and following her
  graduation in 2014, Brianna began pursuing a degree in elementary
  education at Houston Community College while also working at West
  University Elementary; in her spare time, she enjoyed shopping and
  keeping up with the latest fashion trends; and
         WHEREAS, Jade Robinson was a talented, fearless, and
  fun-loving teenager who was wise beyond her years; adventurous and
  highly competitive, she participated in track, swimming, lacrosse,
  and gymnastics; moreover, she was a five-year club athlete for
  Houston Juniors Volleyball, and she led the Bellaire High School
  varsity volleyball team as its co-captain and outside hitter; in
  2013, she was featured in Vype Magazine as one of Houston's top
  volleyball players; a senior at Bellaire High School, Jade was
  preparing to attend Tennessee Wesleyan University on a volleyball
  scholarship to pursue a career in veterinary medicine, which had
  been her dream since the age of four; and
         WHEREAS, Although the lives of these bright and vibrant young
  women ended far too soon, their loved ones may take comfort in the
  knowledge that the determination and strength with which they lived
  their lives will never be forgotten; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Brianna and Jade
  Robinson and extend sincere condolences to the members of their
  family and their many friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for their family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Brianna and
  Jade Robinson.
