WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of | ||
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and John and Jean Hayes of | ||
Midland celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on | ||
February 14, 2013; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hayes were joined in matrimony in 1953 | ||
at a ceremony held in Washington, D.C.; through the years, they have | ||
been blessed with a treasured family that includes 5 children as | ||
well as 16 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; and | ||
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Hayes is a | ||
20-year Navy veteran and owned multiple businesses over the years, | ||
and Mrs. Hayes is a dedicated homemaker; in addition to meeting | ||
their work and family responsibilities, they have been valued | ||
members of Second Baptist Church; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hayes have enjoyed six decades of | ||
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an | ||
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting | ||
commitment; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate John and Jean Hayes on their 60th | ||
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hayes as an expression of high regard by | ||
the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
