R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 60th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and John and Jean Hayes of |
|
|
Midland celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage on |
|
|
February 14, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hayes were joined in matrimony in 1953 |
|
|
at a ceremony held in Washington, D.C.; through the years, they have |
|
|
been blessed with a treasured family that includes 5 children as |
|
|
well as 16 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected members of their community, Mr. Hayes is a |
|
|
20-year Navy veteran and owned multiple businesses over the years, |
|
|
and Mrs. Hayes is a dedicated homemaker; in addition to meeting |
|
|
their work and family responsibilities, they have been valued |
|
|
members of Second Baptist Church; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Hayes have enjoyed six decades of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate John and Jean Hayes on their 60th |
|
|
wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Hayes as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
