| WHEREAS, Jeffery Boltz of Sandia was honored with a | ||
| scholarship from the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show | ||
| Association on May 7, 2013; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Each year, the association recognizes young people | ||
| who have distinguished themselves through their participation in | ||
| the Nueces County Junior Livestock Show, which takes place in | ||
| January; using proceeds raised at that event, scholarship awards | ||
| totaling $67,000 were presented to 14 area high school seniors | ||
| based on a range of criteria, including academic achievement, | ||
| college readiness, and membership in FFA, 4-H, or Family, Career | ||
| and Community Leaders of America programs; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of Jeff and Patty Boltz, Jeffery Boltz is | ||
| graduating from Banquete High School and looks forward to pursuing | ||
| a degree in engineering at Texas A&M University; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This outstanding young Texan has brought great pride | ||
| to his family and community, and the exceptional talent, aptitude, | ||
| and drive that he has demonstrated are certain to serve him well in | ||
| all his future endeavors; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
| Legislature, 2nd | ||
| Called Session, hereby congratulate Jeffery Boltz | ||
| on his receipt of a 2013 scholarship from the Nueces County Junior | ||
| Livestock Show Association and extend to him sincere best wishes | ||
| for continued success and happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Boltz as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
