| WHEREAS, Mujeres Cycling in San Antonio is being honored on | ||
| March 14, 2023, in recognition of the first anniversary of the | ||
| organization's founding; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Established in January 2022, Mujeres Cycling is a | ||
| female-only training club that provides support for its members, | ||
| helping to improve their skills, strength, and endurance, while | ||
| also encouraging camaraderie and mentorship; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The group holds weekly social and training rides in | ||
| San Antonio and across the surrounding area; the rides are open to | ||
| individuals of all levels, and Mujeres Cycling often partners with | ||
| other women's bicycling clubs to coordinate events; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through its exemplary work, Mujeres Cycling is | ||
| building a supportive and welcoming community for women cyclists, | ||
| and it is a pleasure to join in recognizing the group for its many | ||
| contributions; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commemorate the first anniversary of Mujeres | ||
| Cycling and extend to its members sincere best wishes for the | ||
| future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be prepared for the | ||
| club as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of | ||
| Representatives. | ||
