R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Cody Brisendine of the Flower Mound Police
  Department was promoted to the rank of sergeant on October 15, 2023,
  and this achievement represents an impressive milestone in his law
  enforcement career; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Brisendine began his tenure with the Flower
  Mound Police Department in 2015, when he accepted a position as a
  patrol officer; he went on to become a traffic officer in 2022, and
  he attained the rank of detective; over the years, he has served on
  the SWAT, mental health officer, and marine safety enforcement
  officer teams; he has further distinguished himself by earning
  certification as a master peace officer, police training officer,
  accident investigator, and instructor; and
         WHEREAS, Prior to joining the department, Mr. Brisendine
  served in the U.S. Marine Corps for eight years, and he concluded
  his military career at the rank of sergeant; he holds a bachelor's
  degree from the University of North Texas; and
         WHEREAS, Through his skill, professionalism, and dedication
  to duty, Sergeant Cody Brisendine has greatly benefited his
  colleagues and his fellow citizens, and he may indeed reflect with
  pride on this well-deserved promotion; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Cody
  Brisendine on attaining the rank of sergeant with the Flower Mound
  Police Department and extend to him sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Sergeant Brisendine as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
