R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The family and friends of Catherine Lea Edwards of
  Lampasas are mourning the untimely loss of this beloved woman, who
  passed away on December 15, 2019, at the age of 39; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Lampasas on December 28, 1979, "Caety"
  Edwards was the daughter of Mickey and Jani Edwards and grew up with
  a brother, Reagan; a member of the LTP spirit club, she graduated
  from Lampasas High School in 1998; she continued her education at
  Howard Payne University and Central Texas College and earned an
  education degree at Tarleton State University; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Edwards began her teaching career at New Deal
  Middle School, where she also served as the cheerleading program
  sponsor; she next taught in the Killeen Independent School District
  and at Fort Hood, and in 2017 she completed her master's degree in
  counseling at Texas State University to become a licensed
  professional counselor; she also helped promote Edwards Family
  Cattle and was a former officer of Colorado River CattleWomen; and
         WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Ms. Edwards treasured time
  spent with her family and friends; proudly wearing Badger blue, she
  supported the Lampasas football team, and she loved to attend
  country music concerts; a woman of strong character, she was
  especially admired for her kindness and generosity; and
         WHEREAS, Caety Edwards brightened the world for all who knew
  her with her wonderful sense of humor and joyous zest for life, and
  she will forever hold a special place in their hearts; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Catherine Lea
  Edwards and extend deepest condolences to the members of her
  family: to her parents, Mickey and Jani Hewitt Edwards; to her
  brother, Reagan Edwards; to her nephews, Jay Edwards and Brennan
  Edwards; and to her many other relatives and friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Caety
  Edwards.
