R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Four Destination ImagiNation teams from Baker
  Middle School in Corpus Christi competed at the Destination
  ImagiNation Global Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee, on May 25 to 28,
  2011; and
         WHEREAS, More than 100,000 students from 30 countries around
  the world participate each year in Destination ImagiNation, which
  promotes teamwork and creative problem solving; groups compete to
  find innovative solutions to a variety of educational challenges at
  regional, state, and national events; and
         WHEREAS, Among the BMS students that traveled to Knoxville
  are Sarita Damaraju, Carolyn Fan, Muhammed Patel, Rupak Uyyalada,
  Zachary Uranga, Frances Williamson, and Robert Williamson on the
  DIatribe team, Jacob Beavers, Madison Carter, Aneel Damaraju,
  Christopher Fan, Frankie Fregoso, Olivia Speed, and John Williamson
  on the DImax team, Katherine Buschang, Adrianna Weddle, and Diane
  McBride on the ODD team, and Hunter Adams, Samuel Brehm, Priyanka
  Kar, Anila Katragadda, Aiden Montgomery, and Saherish Surani on the
  Fedora Explorers team; and
         WHEREAS, In qualifying to compete at this national event,
  these outstanding young Texans have demonstrated intelligence,
  discipline, and enthusiasm for learning, and they are indeed
  deserving of recognition for their achievement; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate the
  Destination ImagiNation teams from Baker Middle School for
  advancing to the 2011 Destination ImagiNation Global Finals and
  extend to them sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the teams as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
