| WHEREAS, Evelyn Aileen Mendez is graduating from Pasadena | ||
| Early College High School on June 4, 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In undertaking the rigorous PECHS curriculum, | ||
| Ms. Mendez has completed an accelerated course of study in which | ||
| she has earned both a high school diploma and an associate of arts | ||
| degree in business from San Jacinto Community College; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A first generation graduate, Ms. Mendez plans to | ||
| further her education by attending the University of Houston-Clear | ||
| Lake, where she will pursue a degree in marketing as she works | ||
| toward a career in sales; and | ||
| WHEREAS, During her years at PECHS, this accomplished young | ||
| Texan has distinguished herself through her skill and | ||
| determination, and the knowledge and confidence she has acquired | ||
| along the way will serve her well in the years to come; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Evelyn Aileen Mendez on her | ||
| graduation from Pasadena Early College High School as a member of | ||
| the Class of 2015 and extend to her sincere best wishes for the | ||
| future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Mendez as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
