R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Evelyn Aileen Mendez is graduating from Pasadena
Early College High School on June 4, 2015; and
WHEREAS, In undertaking the rigorous PECHS curriculum,
Ms. Mendez has completed an accelerated course of study in which
she has earned both a high school diploma and an associate of arts
degree in business from San Jacinto Community College; and
WHEREAS, A first generation graduate, Ms. Mendez plans to
further her education by attending the University of Houston-Clear
Lake, where she will pursue a degree in marketing as she works
toward a career in sales; and
WHEREAS, During her years at PECHS, this accomplished young
Texan has distinguished herself through her skill and
determination, and the knowledge and confidence she has acquired
along the way will serve her well in the years to come; now,
therefore, be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Evelyn Aileen Mendez on her
graduation from Pasadena Early College High School as a member of
the Class of 2015 and extend to her sincere best wishes for the
future; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Ms. Mendez as an expression of high regard by the Texas
House of Representatives.
