WHEREAS, High school graduation is one of life's pivotal | ||
milestones, and Joseph Daniel Valenzuela Jr. is participating in | ||
that joyful occasion with his graduation from Cedar Ridge High | ||
School in Round Rock on June 1, 2017; and | ||
WHEREAS, Throughout his years at CRHS, Mr. Valenzuela has | ||
maintained a strong focus on academics while also participating in | ||
extracurricular activities; in addition to successfully completing | ||
study in his school's Academy of Health Science, he lettered for two | ||
years on both the football and soccer teams; he received a | ||
University Interscholastic League District 13-6A Academic | ||
All-District Award and an Academic All-State honorable mention for | ||
his work on the gridiron, as well as the CRHS 2017 Goalkeeper of the | ||
Year Award and a District 13-6A All-District Goalkeeper honorable | ||
mention for his efforts on the soccer field; and | ||
WHEREAS, The son of Joe and Blythe Valenzuela, this notable | ||
young Texan has volunteered with the Texas House of Representatives | ||
during several legislative sessions; in the future, he plans to | ||
study sports medicine; and | ||
WHEREAS, Exciting challenges and opportunities await | ||
Mr. Valenzuela, and it is a pleasure to join his family and friends | ||
in recognizing him as he embarks on a future bright with promise; | ||
now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Joseph Daniel Valenzuela Jr. on the | ||
occasion of his high school graduation and extend to him sincere | ||
best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Valenzuela as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. |
