| WHEREAS, Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center was | ||
| honored as the 2023 Best Place to Work at the Round Rock Chamber's | ||
| annual awards banquet on February 15, 2023; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Each year, the Round Rock Chamber recognizes | ||
| deserving businesses, organizations, and individuals for their | ||
| achievements and their contributions to the local community; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center was | ||
| founded in 1997 to provide children and families with a safe, | ||
| welcoming place to share their experiences of abuse; the center | ||
| works alongside local law enforcement and the Department of Family | ||
| and Protective Services to ensure the integrity of child abuse | ||
| investigations; in addition to forensic interviews, it offers | ||
| medical examinations, mental health counseling, and other | ||
| education and advocacy services; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Employing a staff of around 30 people, the center | ||
| has earned praise for its positive workplace environment as well as | ||
| its values, culture, community outreach efforts, and employee | ||
| resources; the organization has built a strong track record for | ||
| retaining staff, and it has several internal committees devoted to | ||
| wellness, diversity, and other areas of employee engagement; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Williamson County Children's Advocacy Center has | ||
| furthered its vital mission by nurturing a strong relationship with | ||
| its employees, and in so doing, it has set a commendable example for | ||
| other organizations and businesses; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Williamson County Children's | ||
| Advocacy Center on its selection as the 2023 Best Place to Work by | ||
| the Round Rock Chamber and extend to the center's management and | ||
| staff sincere best wishes for continued success with their | ||
| important work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the organization as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
