WHEREAS, Xavier Soto graduated as the valedictorian of the | ||
senior class of San Isidro High School in 2013; and | ||
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only | ||
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the | ||
highest academic standards; Mr. Soto has demonstrated a thorough | ||
understanding of a wide range of subjects, while participating in | ||
the National Honor Society, coaching Little Dribblers, and serving | ||
as a student aide; he has also been active in his parish at San | ||
Isidro Catholic Church; and | ||
WHEREAS, Following his graduation, Mr. Soto plans to continue | ||
his education at The University of Texas--Pan American, where he | ||
will pursue a degree in criminal justice; he hopes to one day work | ||
with U.S. Customs and Border Protection; and | ||
WHEREAS, Throughout his academic career, Xavier Soto has | ||
earned the respect and admiration of his teachers and classmates at | ||
San Isidro High School, and his exceptional scholastic ability, | ||
hard work, and commitment to excellence have opened the way to | ||
limitless opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, | ||
therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
Legislature, 1st Called Session, hereby congratulate Xavier Soto, | ||
valedictorian of San Isidro High School, and extend to him sincere | ||
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Soto as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
