| WHEREAS, Julian Barton of Follett High School achieved great | ||
| distinction by winning the silver medal in the boys' 1A 3,200-meter | ||
| run at the 2023 University Interscholastic League Track & Field | ||
| State Meet; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in | ||
| Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 13, Mr. Barton | ||
| turned in a notable performance in the event, claiming a | ||
| second-place finish with a time of 10 minutes, 11.63 seconds; and | ||
| WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for | ||
| high school track and field athletes, Julian Barton has ably | ||
| represented his school and community, and he will cherish his | ||
| memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Julian Barton on his silver-medal | ||
| performance in the boys' 1A 3,200-meter run at the 2023 UIL Track & | ||
| Field State Meet and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued | ||
| success; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Barton as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
