| WHEREAS, Cadance Holland of Gruver High School achieved great | ||
| distinction by winning the bronze medal in the girls' 2A pole vault | ||
| event at the 2023 University Interscholastic League Track & Field | ||
| State Meet; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Joining the other top high school competitors in | ||
| Texas at Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 12, Ms. Holland | ||
| turned in a notable performance, clearing a height of 10 feet, | ||
| 6 inches, to finish in third place; and | ||
| WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for | ||
| high school track and field athletes, Cadance Holland has ably | ||
| represented her school and community, and she will cherish her | ||
| memories of this outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Cadance Holland on her bronze medal | ||
| finish in the girls' 2A pole vault at the 2023 UIL Track & Field | ||
| State Meet and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued | ||
| success; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Holland as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
