WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories | ||
of Nora Mae Sommerfeld England of Waco, who passed away on April 15, | ||
2011, at the age of 86; and | ||
WHEREAS, Born in Riesel on May 11, 1924, the former Nora | ||
Sommerfeld was the daughter of Herbert and Selma Sommerfeld; she | ||
met and married Jean F. England while he was stationed at Moore | ||
Field in Mission, and they shared more than half a century together | ||
before Mr. England's passing; the couple raised two children, | ||
Judith and Jennifer, and over the years the family grew to include | ||
four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and | ||
WHEREAS, Nora England possessed a generosity of spirit that | ||
expressed itself in myriad ways, and countless lives were enriched | ||
by her warmth and kindness; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Nora Mae Sommerfeld | ||
England and extend sincere condolences to the members of her | ||
family: to her daughters, Judith Corwin and Jennifer Ivey; to her | ||
grandchildren, Laura Corwin Talley and her husband, Chris, Jason | ||
England Ivey and his wife, Jeretta, and Chad and Brooke Ivey; to her | ||
four great-grandchildren; to her brother, Wesley Sommerfeld, and | ||
his wife, Evelyn; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it | ||
further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nora | ||
England. | ||
