R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Christian Ramos is graduating as the valedictorian
  of the senior class of Liberty High School in 2017; and
         WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
  intellect and aptitude but also four years of dedication to the
  highest academic standards; Mr. Ramos has demonstrated a thorough
  understanding of a wide range of subjects, with his favorites being
  mathematics, biology, physics, and economics; in addition, he
  participated in numerous extracurricular activities, including the
  annual University Interscholastic League high school computer
  applications contest and volunteer service with UNICEF; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Ramos plans to continue his education at the
  University of Houston, focusing his studies on mathematics and
  natural science; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout his academic career, Christian Ramos has
  earned the respect and admiration of his teachers and classmates,
  and his exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment
  to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for
  this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Christian Ramos, valedictorian of
  the Class of 2017 at Liberty High School, and extend to him sincere
  best wishes for continued success as he begins the next exciting
  chapter of his life; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Ramos as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
