| WHEREAS, Anna Temple participated in the National Rural | ||
| Electric Cooperative Association Government-in-Action Youth Tour | ||
| during the summer of 2023; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Selected as a Youth Tour delegate by the Pedernales | ||
| Electric Cooperative, Ms. Temple joined some 1,500 students from | ||
| around the country for an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, | ||
| D.C.; in the course of the program, she learned about U.S. history | ||
| and government, met with local political representatives, and | ||
| toured various historic sites, such as Capitol Hill, the | ||
| U.S. Supreme Court, and Arlington National Cemetery; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This bright young Texan graduated from Dripping | ||
| Springs High School in May 2023; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Anna Temple has distinguished herself as a young | ||
| leader of great promise, and she may indeed take justifiable pride | ||
| in participating in this exciting experience; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Anna Temple on | ||
| taking part in the 2023 National Rural Electric Cooperative | ||
| Association Government-in-Action Youth Tour and extend to her | ||
| sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Temple as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
