R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Allison Hedrick of Lindsay High School achieved
  great distinction by winning gold medals in the 2A girls'
  3,200-meter and 1,600-meter runs at the 2019 University
  Interscholastic League Track & Field State Meet; and
         WHEREAS, Joining the top high school competitors in Texas at
  Mike A. Myers Stadium in Austin on May 10 and 11, Ms. Hedrick turned
  in a notable performance, claiming the 3,200-meter title in 11
  minutes, 38.43 seconds, and winning the 1,600-meter run with a time
  of 5 minutes, 17.76 seconds; this is the second consecutive year
  that she has been crowned champion in both events; and
         WHEREAS, By excelling in the state's premier showcase for
  high school track and field athletes, Allison Hedrick has ably
  represented her school, and she will cherish her memories of this
  outstanding accomplishment for years to come; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Allison Hedrick on her
  championship wins in the 2A girls' 3,200-meter and 1,600-meter runs
  at the 2019 UIL Track & Field State Meet and extend to her sincere
  best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Hedrick as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
