| WHEREAS, Clyde Avalos has been presented with an Outstanding | ||
| Award from the McNair Scholars Program at Texas A&M | ||
| University--Corpus Christi; and | ||
| WHEREAS, McNair Scholars is part of the university's Programs | ||
| for Academic Student Support (PASS) initiative, which furthers the | ||
| goals of TAMU--CC by providing resources to low-income, | ||
| first-generation, and underrepresented students; in receiving an | ||
| Outstanding Award, Mr. Avalos was recognized for his academic | ||
| achievements in his program; this notable Texan is working toward a | ||
| degree in mechanical engineering; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Clyde Avalos is indeed deserving of this prestigious | ||
| honor, and he may look forward to a future bright with promise; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 85th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Clyde Avalos on his receipt of a | ||
| McNair Scholars Outstanding Award and extend to him sincere best | ||
| wishes for continued success; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Avalos as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
