| WHEREAS, Manuel Tellez has made a positive difference in the | ||
| lives of many North Texas residents through his nonprofit | ||
| organization, Autocare Haven; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Aware that many people struggled with unexpected | ||
| expenses, such as car repair, Mr. Tellez created Autocare Haven in | ||
| 2019; the nonprofit provides diagnostic services and essential | ||
| automobile repairs, such as tire alignment and battery and brake | ||
| pad replacement, at no cost to individuals in Dallas, Tarrant, | ||
| Collin, and Rockwall Counties; the program is funded through | ||
| community donations and benefits from a partnership with Amazon; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, Manuel Tellez has demonstrated an inspiring | ||
| commitment to helping the needy and working poor of North Texas, and | ||
| in so doing, he has earned the deep respect and appreciation of his | ||
| fellow Texans; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend Manuel Tellez for establishing Autocare | ||
| Haven and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success | ||
| with his important work; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Tellez as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
