| WHEREAS, Alexandra Babino was named Educator of the Year at | ||
| the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Awards Luncheon on | ||
| January 27, 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Each year, the Lewisville chamber celebrates the | ||
| achievements of individuals and businesses who have made notable | ||
| contributions to the organization or who have otherwise benefited | ||
| their fellow citizens; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The inaugural winner of the Educator of the Year | ||
| honor, Ms. Babino is an instructor in the Bilingual Learning | ||
| Enrichment Academic Program at Central Elementary School, where she | ||
| has worked for seven years; this esteemed teacher has demonstrated | ||
| a strong commitment to excellence in the classroom and a | ||
| willingness to become actively involved in the lives of her | ||
| students, often visiting with their families and attending the | ||
| children's extracurricular events; a native of Kingwood, she holds | ||
| bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of North Texas, | ||
| and she is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in language, | ||
| literacy, and bilingual education at UNT; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through her exceptional efforts, Alexandra Babino | ||
| has furthered Lewisville's reputation as a great place to live, | ||
| work, and raise a family, and she is indeed deserving of this | ||
| prestigious award; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Alexandra Babino on being named | ||
| Educator of the Year by the Lewisville Area Chamber of Commerce and | ||
| extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Babino as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
