R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Loraine J. Haby Neuman of Hondo, who passed away on March 25,
  2013, at the age of 69; and
         WHEREAS, The former Loraine Haby was born in Hondo on August
  27, 1943, to Anthony and Lydia Haby; she graduated from St. Louis
  Catholic High School in 1960 and married Wesley Neuman on February
  4, 1961, at a ceremony held at St. Louis Catholic Church; the couple
  went on to share 52 years of marriage, and their family grew to
  include three children, Michael, Joey, and Janet, as well as five
  grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Neuman was employed by the Medina County Tax
  Office for 42 years and was the tax assessor-collector for more than
  a quarter-century; appointed to that office in 1987, she won the
  approval of voters the following year and was repeatedly reelected
  until her retirement in 2012; and
         WHEREAS, Deeply devoted to her family and her community,
  Loraine Neuman made a meaningful difference in the lives of others
  during her years on this earth, and she will be fondly remembered
  for years to come; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Loraine J. Haby
  Neuman and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to
  her husband, Wesley Neuman; to her children, Michael Neuman, Joey
  Neuman and his wife, Lynda, and Janet Mathis and her husband,
  Dwayne; to her grandchildren, Tyler, Alexus, Savannah, and Emily
  Neuman and Devin Mathis; to her brothers-in-law, Charles Neuman and
  his wife, Connie, Jimmie Neuman, and Lawrence Heiligman; and to her
  other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Loraine
  Neuman.
