WHEREAS, Donna Jean Evetts of Hewitt passed away on April 4, | ||
2011, at the age of 68, leaving her family and friends to cherish | ||
their many happy memories of time spent in her company; and | ||
WHEREAS, Born in Temple on September 3, 1942, to John and | ||
Beatrice Lynch, the former Donna Jean Lynch grew up in Moody; she | ||
was joined in matrimony to David Evetts on June 3, 1960, and they | ||
enjoyed a rewarding marriage of 33 years, until his passing in 1993; | ||
she was a devoted mother to three daughters, Debbie, Denise, and | ||
Dana, and she took great delight in her many grandchildren and | ||
great-grandchildren; and | ||
WHEREAS, Mrs. Evetts was employed in the banking industry for | ||
much of her life and had recently worked for Lincoln Prescription; | ||
after her husband was called to the ministry, they pastored | ||
churches in numerous towns, including Tatum, New Mexico, and Anton, | ||
Muleshoe, Levelland, Lubbock, Speegleville, and Sunray; and | ||
WHEREAS, A compassionate, generous woman, Mrs. Evetts lived | ||
life to the fullest; blessed with a vivacious personality and a love | ||
of people, she never met a stranger; in her leisure moments, she | ||
most enjoyed spending time with her family and reading; and | ||
WHEREAS, Donna Evetts lived a rich and purposeful life | ||
centered around her faith and her family, and she will long be | ||
remembered with deep affection by all who knew her; now, therefore, | ||
be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Donna Jean Evetts and | ||
extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her | ||
daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie and Glenn Copeland, Denise and | ||
Robin Blake, and Dana and David Reed; to her grandchildren and | ||
great-grandchildren; to her brother, John Edward Lynch, Jr., and | ||
his wife, Pam; to her sisters-in-law, Joyce Hendrickson and Doris | ||
Wallace; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Donna Jean | ||
Evetts. | ||
