WHEREAS, Andy Wilson is retiring as athletic trainer for | ||
Harker Heights High School in the Killeen Independent School | ||
District in December 2023, concluding an outstanding tenure in | ||
education that has spanned 34 years; and | ||
WHEREAS, Andy Wilson began his career at Copperas Cove High | ||
School in 1990; six years later, he joined the staff at Killeen High | ||
School, where his father, Al "Doc" Wilson, was a longtime athletic | ||
trainer for the Kangaroos; in 2000, he became head athletic trainer | ||
at Harker Heights High School during the Knights' first season of | ||
competition; and | ||
WHEREAS, A member of the Killeen High School Class of 1985, | ||
Mr. Wilson graduated from Angelo State University; in retirement, | ||
he looks forward to working for Harley-Davidson and continuing to | ||
umpire high school baseball games; and | ||
WHEREAS, Andy Wilson has made a positive impact on the lives | ||
of countless young Texans, and as he begins the next exciting | ||
chapter of his life, he may indeed reflect with pride on a career | ||
well spent; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature, 4th Called Session, hereby congratulate Andy Wilson on | ||
his retirement from Harker Heights High School and extend to him | ||
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Mr. Wilson as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
