| WHEREAS, The Texas National Board Coalition for Teaching is | ||
| holding its annual conference and pinning ceremony in Austin on | ||
| February 25, 2023; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Texas National Board Coalition for Teaching | ||
| advances high-quality education by ensuring all students have | ||
| equitable access to outstanding teachers and by supporting | ||
| candidates in the board's certification and renewal process; the | ||
| organization was recognized by the National Board for Professional | ||
| Teaching Standards with a 2021 National Board Network Honor for | ||
| Candidate Support; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Each year, TXNBCT holds a conference and pinning | ||
| ceremony, which provides opportunities for networking and | ||
| professional development for teachers, as well as for those seeking | ||
| to become mentors and professional learning facilitators; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Recognized as the gold standard in teacher | ||
| certification, the Texas National Board Coalition for Teaching | ||
| promotes higher standards for teaching, and in so doing, it is | ||
| helping to further student achievement across the Lone Star State; | ||
| now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commemorate the annual Texas National Board | ||
| Coalition for Teaching Conference and Pinning Ceremony and extend | ||
| to all those in attendance sincere best wishes for a successful | ||
| event; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the coalition as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
