WHEREAS, Children are the Lone Star State's most precious | ||
natural resource, and the Marlin Independent School District has | ||
demonstrated a deep commitment to educating area youth; and | ||
WHEREAS, The district draws enrollment from a diverse | ||
community within a five-square-mile area; nearly 150 employees | ||
serve more than 800 students at Marlin Elementary, Marlin Middle, | ||
and Marlin High Schools; faculty and staff strive to foster a safe, | ||
nurturing environment for learning; and | ||
WHEREAS, Since 2020, Dr. Darryl J. Henson has led the | ||
district as superintendent; he is assisted by an executive cabinet | ||
that includes Lawrence Galloway, chief operating officer, | ||
Dr. Stacy Parker, executive director of academics and student | ||
services, Adam LeJeune, director of technology, and Jesse | ||
Bustamante, director of human resources and special education; and | ||
WHEREAS, The district's board of managers includes president | ||
Billy Johnson, vice president Danny Vickers, and secretary Byrleen | ||
Terry; and | ||
WHEREAS, A quality education is critical to the continuing | ||
vitality of our state, and the administration, faculty, and staff | ||
of the Marlin Independent School District work tirelessly to help | ||
students reach their full potential as responsible, productive, and | ||
ethical members of a changing society; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby honor the Marlin Independent School District for | ||
its service to the community and extend sincere best wishes for the | ||
future; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for the district as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
