R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Wesley Holt is retiring as superintendent of the
  Connally Independent School District on June 30, 2023, drawing to a
  close an exemplary tenure with the district that has spanned 33
  years; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Penelope High School and Baylor
  University, Mr. Holt has spent the entirety of his career in public
  education at Connally ISD, where he worked as a classroom teacher,
  coach, bus driver, assistant principal, and director of human
  resources before taking over as superintendent of schools in 2014;
  since that time, he has led the district in fostering a supportive
  and engaging learning environment that empowers students to build a
  strong foundation for the future; and
         WHEREAS, Retirement will afford Mr. Holt more time to spend
  with his family, which includes his wife of 33 years, Melissa, his
  children, Alyssa and Tyler, and his granddaughter, Remi; and
         WHEREAS, Through his leadership, professionalism, and
  commitment to excellence, Wesley Holt has greatly benefited the
  students of Connally ISD and earned the respect and admiration of
  his colleagues, and his contributions to the district will be
  remembered and appreciated for many years to come; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Wesley Holt on his retirement as
  superintendent of Connally Independent School District and extend
  to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Holt as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
