| WHEREAS, Joe and Geraldine Tarbet of Lubbock celebrated their | ||
| 60th wedding anniversary on December 18, 2012, and they may indeed | ||
| reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, Joe Tarbet and the former "Jerry" Hogg exchanged the | ||
| vows of matrimony in a ceremony held in Lamesa in 1952, and over the | ||
| course of their marriage, they have found in each other a loving | ||
| life partner; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Tarbet count among their blessings a | ||
| fine family that includes two children, Darla Blasingame and | ||
| Treva Brensing, as well as seven grandchildren and eight | ||
| great-grandchildren, with whom they treasure sharing many special | ||
| occasions; and | ||
| WHEREAS, For six decades, Joe and Jerry Tarbet have brought | ||
| to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it is a | ||
| pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Joe and Geraldine Tarbet on their | ||
| 60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Tarbet as an expression of high regard by | ||
| the Texas House of Representatives. | ||
