WHEREAS, Lonna Jackson has been named the assistant dean of | ||
Vanguard High School, a new campus in the Mesquite Independent | ||
School District that is slated to open in the fall of 2021; and | ||
WHEREAS, Ms. Jackson will draw on a wealth of valuable | ||
experience; she taught English for five years before transitioning | ||
to Mesquite ISD, where her 16 years of service includes her role as | ||
an assistant principal at Mesquite High; and | ||
WHEREAS, Throughout her career, Ms. Jackson has worked | ||
tirelessly to foster a supportive learning environment for students | ||
and faculty alike; her able leadership has equipped countless young | ||
Texans with the tools they need to secure a bright future, and she | ||
has also helped teachers reach their full potential through | ||
professional learning opportunities; and | ||
WHEREAS, Over the course of more than two decades in | ||
education, Ms. Jackson has upheld the highest standards of her | ||
profession, and she is sure to bring to her new position equal | ||
commitment and energy; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Lonna Jackson on being named | ||
assistant dean of Vanguard High School and extend to her sincere | ||
best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Ms. Jackson as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
