| WHEREAS, Ariannah Kemp of Gainesville High School has been | ||
| honored for her outstanding play during the 2012-2013 season by | ||
| being named to the Texas Girls Coaches Association 3A All-State | ||
| Basketball Team; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A junior guard, Ms. Kemp averaged 17.4 points and | ||
| 11.1 rebounds per game and helped the Lady Leopards to achieve a | ||
| second-place finish in district competition and a berth in the | ||
| playoffs; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This exceptional athlete earned a host of other | ||
| accolades as well; she was chosen as the Offensive Most Valuable | ||
| Player for District 9-3A and garnered the same award from the | ||
| Gainesville Daily Register as part of its All-Cooke County | ||
| selections; moreover, she was recognized as a first team | ||
| All-Texomaland player by the Sherman Herald Democrat and an | ||
| All-Region honoree by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches, | ||
| and her success in the classroom won her a place on the Academic | ||
| All-District Team; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Through her skill and dedication, Ariannah Kemp has | ||
| established herself as one of the top 3A players in Texas, and she | ||
| may take justifiable pride in this notable accomplishment; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Ariannah Kemp on being named to the | ||
| 2013 Texas Girls Coaches Association 3A All-State Basketball Team | ||
| and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Ms. Kemp as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
