WHEREAS, Tia A. Whitman has been named valedictorian of the | ||
Class of 2019 at Banquete High School, and she indeed merits special | ||
recognition for receiving this significant honor; and | ||
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only | ||
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the | ||
highest academic standards; in securing her place as the top | ||
ranking student in her class, Ms. Whitman demonstrated a thorough | ||
understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her attainment of | ||
this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement of a notable | ||
high school career; and | ||
WHEREAS, The daughter of Bernie Gonzalez, Ms. Whitman plans | ||
to study biology at Texas A&M University and pursue a medical | ||
degree; in addition to the pride inherent in being recognized for | ||
her hard work, she has gained the opportunity to address her fellow | ||
seniors at commencement and to reflect on their shared history as | ||
well as their hopes and ambitions; and | ||
WHEREAS, During her years at Banquete High School, Tia | ||
A. Whitman has earned the respect and admiration of both her | ||
teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability and | ||
commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright and | ||
promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now, therefore, | ||
be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate Tia A. Whitman on graduating as the | ||
valedictorian of the Banquete High School Class of 2019 and extend | ||
to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the | ||
next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Ms. Whitman as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
