| WHEREAS, A delegation from Northeast Christian Academy in | ||
| Kingwood is visiting the State Capitol on May 16, 2011; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Founded in 1993 by Dr. Kenneth Stone, Northeast | ||
| Christian Academy is accredited by the Association of Christian | ||
| Schools International and the Southern Association of Colleges and | ||
| Schools; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Today, the institution offers classes for nearly 200 | ||
| students in prekindergarten through 12th grade; under the able | ||
| guidance of head of school Brad Baggett, the school benefits the | ||
| wider community, as well, by administering a food pantry, blood | ||
| drives, and shelters for women and families; students also perform | ||
| yard work for the elderly; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Committed to providing high-quality, faith-centered | ||
| education, Northeast Christian Academy is helping its students | ||
| succeed personally and academically, and in so doing, it is | ||
| building a solid foundation for their future achievement; now, | ||
| therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby welcome members of the Northeast Christian | ||
| Academy community to the State Capitol and extend to them sincere | ||
| best wishes for an informative and memorable visit to Austin; and, | ||
| be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
| House of Representatives. | ||
