WHEREAS, Words cannot adequately express the sorrow felt by
the family and friends of Wade Cannon of the Flower Mound Fire
Department, who passed away on October 1, 2022, at the age of 33,
after a courageous battle with cancer; and
WHEREAS, Wade Cannon served his community as a firefighter
paramedic and had been with the department for six years; he enjoyed
a strong bond of camaraderie with his colleagues and was recognized
as an energetic and spirited young man with a bright future ahead of
  him; and
WHEREAS, In 2020, Mr. Cannon received the devastating news
that he had stage four colon cancer; refusing to give up hope, he
endured multiple clinical trials and many rounds of chemotherapy,

for cancer, knowing that early detection could give them a better
chance of survival; his encouragement led two of his colleagues to
be screened for and diagnosed with colon cancer, allowing them to
begin potentially lifesaving treatment sooner; and
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Cannon enjoyed the support
of a loving family, including his wife, Chelsea Cannon, whom he
treasured having by his side through every challenge; and
