H.R. No. 1451

R E S O L U T I O N
WHEREAS, Zach Lambert of Rosenberg was elected to the
District 1 position on the Lamar Consolidated Independent School
District Board of Trustees on May 1, 2021; and
WHEREAS, Members of the Lamar school board work closely with
parents, teachers, administrators, and other concerned citizens to
foster a supportive and challenging environment at district
schools, and in so doing, they are helping to provide young Texans
with a strong academic foundation on which to build a bright and
prosperous future; and
WHEREAS, The husband of a Lamar CISD teacher and the father of
three Lamar CISD students, Mr. Lambert is guided by a strong sense
of duty to the local school district; he and his wife have
previously served area youth through their work with Mercy Goods, a
program they created that offers academically at-risk students the
opportunity to receive valuable job training and mentorship; and
WHEREAS, The education of young Texans is of great importance
to the future of our state, and through his commitment to this
endeavor as a newly elected Lamar CISD trustee, Zach Lambert is
continuing a vital tradition of public service; now, therefore, be
it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 87th Texas
Legislature hereby congratulate Zach Lambert on his election to the
Lamar Consolidated Independent School District Board of Trustees
and extend to him sincere best wishes for a productive and rewarding
tenure; and, be it further
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
prepared for Mr. Lambert as an expression of high regard by the
Texas House of Representatives.
