R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced
  by a great and enduring love, James and Sandy Champ of Little River
  celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on March 31, 2011; and
         WHEREAS, James Champ and the former Sandy Weddell were united
  in matrimony at First Methodist Church in Cameron in 1961; through
  the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been
  made even richer with the addition of two children, Carol Morris and
  Arthur Champ, as well as four grandchildren and four
  great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Champ retired from the U.S. Post Office in
  Temple after 37 years of service; Mrs. Champ has been a dedicated
  homemaker throughout their marriage; and
         WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past
  five decades, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant
  in their commitment to one another, and the strength of their love
  has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with
  grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate James and Sandy Champ on their
  golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes
  for continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Champ as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
