WHEREAS, A number of promising Houston area students are | ||
being honored at the Reginald Keith Guillory Scholarship Academic | ||
Achievement Awards Luncheon on April 16, 2011; and | ||
WHEREAS, Recognizing young men and women who have | ||
distinguished themselves through their academic pursuits, the | ||
awards were established in memory of Reginald Keith Guillory, a | ||
graduate of Forest Brook High School in Houston; and | ||
WHEREAS, This year's recipients include Davion Antwine of | ||
Furr High School, Jeremiah Howard Eaton of Madison High School, | ||
Brandi Gould and Bridgid Gould of Lamar High School, Percy DaShun | ||
Jackson of Yes Preparatory Public School, Adam Moorehead of St. | ||
Stephens Episcopal High School, and James E. Perry III and Jamie E. | ||
Perry of The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts; and | ||
WHEREAS, These notable young Texans have demonstrated a | ||
commendable dedication to their studies, and they are a source of | ||
great pride to their families and peers; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 82nd Texas | ||
Legislature hereby congratulate the student honorees of the 2011 | ||
Reginald Keith Guillory Scholarship Academic Achievement Awards | ||
Luncheon and extend to them sincere best wishes for continued | ||
success; and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for the students as an expression of high regard by the | ||
Texas House of Representatives. | ||
