WHEREAS, All who shared in the life of Linda Alvarado Blanco | ||
of Round Rock were deeply saddened by her passing on April 3, 2023, | ||
at the age of 70; and | ||
WHEREAS, Linda Blanco was born to Dorothy and Rogelio Blanco | ||
in Round Rock on April 3, 1953, and she grew up with the | ||
companionship of her sister, Gloria; she graduated from Round Rock | ||
High School in 1971; and | ||
WHEREAS, Over the course of her career, Ms. Blanco worked for | ||
Meridell Achievement Center in Jollyville and The Nelson Children's | ||
Residential Center through Lutheran Social Services in Denton; she | ||
retired from Proscape Landscaping after many years of service; and | ||
WHEREAS, Active in her community, Ms. Blanco was a member of | ||
the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 447 and held a number of officer | ||
positions; moreover, she was a lifetime parishioner of Saint | ||
William Catholic Church; in her leisure time, she enjoyed spending | ||
time with her family and friends; and | ||
WHEREAS, Admired for her warm and caring nature and radiant | ||
smile, Linda Blanco brightened the world for all who knew her, and | ||
they will forever hold her close in their hearts; now, therefore, be | ||
it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Linda Alvarado | ||
Blanco and extend heartfelt sympathy to the members of her family: | ||
to her mother, Dorothy Blanco; to her sister, Gloria Vallejo, and | ||
her husband, Adolfo; to her nephew, Rogelio Orlando Vallejo, and | ||
his wife, Leshelle; to her niece, Linda Adrianna V. Vasquez; to her | ||
great-nephews, Adolfo Jacob Vallejo, Thayer Scott Vallejo, and | ||
Alister Lee Vallejo; and to her many other relatives and friends; | ||
and, be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of | ||
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Linda | ||
Blanco. | ||
