| WHEREAS, Nate Moenning, a senior at Crawford High School, has | ||
| signed a letter of intent to play baseball and study at Union | ||
| University in Jackson, Tennessee; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of Jim and Heather Moenning, Nate Moenning | ||
| is a standout member of the Crawford baseball team; he is expected | ||
| to pitch and play first base for Union University beginning in the | ||
| fall of 2015; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Mr. Moenning was awarded All-District honors for | ||
| his inspired performance on the diamond, and he was named to the | ||
| 2014 Texas Sports Writers Association 2A All-State Baseball Team as | ||
| an honorable mention selection at first base; moreover, he also | ||
| distinguished himself on the gridiron as the kicker and punter for | ||
| the Crawford Pirates football team, earning a spot on the District | ||
| 8-2A All-District team; and | ||
| WHEREAS, This talented young Texan has pursued his goals with | ||
| remarkable drive and an unwavering dedication to excellence, and he | ||
| may take great pride in all that he has accomplished as he looks | ||
| ahead to a future bright with promise; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate Nate Moenning on signing a national | ||
| letter of intent to play for the Union University baseball team and | ||
| extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it | ||
| further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Moenning as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
