| WHEREAS, The members of the El Paso Community College Student | ||
| Government Association have distinguished themselves through their | ||
| work to improve campus life for their fellow students; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The EPCC Student Government Association acts as the | ||
| voice of the student body to the college administration, with | ||
| elected members representing the interests and concerns of their | ||
| peers and advocating for students' rights; the organization also | ||
| provides leadership and professional development opportunities as | ||
| participants strive to improve the value of the social and | ||
| educational experience at EPCC; and | ||
| WHEREAS, In order to foster positive change, the EPCC Student | ||
| Government Association facilitates communication between students, | ||
| administration, faculty, staff, and community organizations, as | ||
| well as the Texas Association of Community Colleges; and | ||
| WHEREAS, The Student Government Association plays a valuable | ||
| role in supporting El Paso Community College students as they | ||
| develop a solid educational foundation for future achievement, and | ||
| its members are indeed worthy of recognition; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend the El Paso Community College Student | ||
| Government Association and extend to all those involved with the | ||
| organization sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for the EPCC SGA as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
