R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, The Honorable Diana Bautista of Pleasanton retired
  as county judge of Atascosa County on December 31, 2014, after more
  than a decade of exemplary service to her fellow citizens; and
         WHEREAS, Elected county judge in 2002, Diana Bautista ably
  managed the county budget, presided over both the county and
  juvenile courts, and oversaw the renovation of the Atascosa County
  courthouse; and
         WHEREAS, Judge Bautista has long worked for the betterment of
  her community; over the course of her career in public service, she
  served as a county clerk, as a secretary for the jail administrator,
  and as an Atascosa County sheriff's deputy, and she also earned the
  distinction of becoming the first female officer of the Pleasanton
  Police Department; moreover, she has given generously of her time
  and talents as a member of the Atascosa County Historical
  Commission and many other boards and committees; and
         WHEREAS, A committed advocate for her community, Diana
  Bautista may reflect with pride on all that she has accomplished in
  its behalf, and her contributions will continue to benefit area
  Texans for years to come; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas
  Legislature hereby commend the Honorable Diana Bautista for her
  exceptional service as county judge of Atascosa County and extend
  to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Judge Bautista as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
