| WHEREAS, The Honorable Diana Bautista of Pleasanton retired | ||
| as county judge of Atascosa County on December 31, 2014, after more | ||
| than a decade of exemplary service to her fellow citizens; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Elected county judge in 2002, Diana Bautista ably | ||
| managed the county budget, presided over both the county and | ||
| juvenile courts, and oversaw the renovation of the Atascosa County | ||
| courthouse; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Judge Bautista has long worked for the betterment of | ||
| her community; over the course of her career in public service, she | ||
| served as a county clerk, as a secretary for the jail administrator, | ||
| and as an Atascosa County sheriff's deputy, and she also earned the | ||
| distinction of becoming the first female officer of the Pleasanton | ||
| Police Department; moreover, she has given generously of her time | ||
| and talents as a member of the Atascosa County Historical | ||
| Commission and many other boards and committees; and | ||
| WHEREAS, A committed advocate for her community, Diana | ||
| Bautista may reflect with pride on all that she has accomplished in | ||
| its behalf, and her contributions will continue to benefit area | ||
| Texans for years to come; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 84th Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby commend the Honorable Diana Bautista for her | ||
| exceptional service as county judge of Atascosa County and extend | ||
| to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Judge Bautista as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
