| WHEREAS, David Alan Jarzynka, Jr., of Boy Scouts of America | ||
| Troop No. 387 in Bedford has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and | ||
| this accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant | ||
| honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the | ||
| scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding | ||
| criteria, Mr. Jarzynka earned the requisite 21 merit badges and | ||
| successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to his | ||
| community; for his project, he returned to the elementary school he | ||
| attended to repaint and refurbish a bridge in the school's nature | ||
| center and to build a retaining wall and perform landscaping work; | ||
| and | ||
| WHEREAS, The son of Mary Fran and David Jarzynka, this fine | ||
| young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability | ||
| throughout his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration | ||
| of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that | ||
| scouting offers; and | ||
| WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Jarzynka's dedication to excellence and | ||
| his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy | ||
| to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with | ||
| pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it | ||
| RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas | ||
| Legislature hereby congratulate David Jarzynka, Jr., on achieving | ||
| the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for | ||
| continued success and happiness; and, be it further | ||
| RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
| prepared for Mr. Jarzynka as an expression of high regard by the | ||
| Texas House of Representatives. | ||
