CONCURRENT RESOLUTION
         WHEREAS, Section 14, Article IV, Texas Constitution,
  authorizes the governor to object to an item of appropriation
  contained in certain bills passed by both houses of the legislature
  and presented to the governor for approval; and
         WHEREAS, Section 14, Article IV, Texas Constitution, further
  authorizes the legislature, if the legislature is in session when
  the governor objects to an item of appropriation, to reconsider the
  item of appropriation and approve the item notwithstanding the
  objections of the governor; and
         WHEREAS, The governor has objected to the item of
  appropriation for the Public Integrity Unit in Travis County made
  by S.B. No. 1, Acts of the 83rd Legislature, Regular Session, 2013
  (the General Appropriations Act), in Strategy D.1.4 in the
  appropriations to the Judiciary Section, Comptroller's Department;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED by the 83rd Legislature of the State of Texas, 2nd
  Called Session, 2013, That the legislature hereby approves the item
  of appropriation for the Public Integrity Unit in Travis County
  made by S.B. No. 1, and that item of appropriation hereby becomes
  effective notwithstanding the objections of the governor.
