relating to consent to the immunization of certain children for | ||
cancer prevention or treatment. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 32.1011, Family Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: | ||
(a-1) Notwithstanding Subsection (a) or Section 32.003 or | ||
32.101, a child may consent to the child's own immunization for | ||
cancer prevention or treatment if the immunization is: | ||
(1) recommended for cancer prevention by the Centers | ||
for Disease Control and Prevention; or | ||
(2) approved for cancer treatment by the United States | ||
Food and Drug Administration. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
