A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to penalties imposed on a holder of an alcoholic beverage
  license or permit on the basis of a criminal prosecution.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 11.641(c), Alcoholic Beverage Code, is
  repealed.
         SECTION 2.  The repeal of Section 11.641(c), Alcoholic
  Beverage Code, applies only to the imposition of a penalty for a
  violation that occurs on or after the effective date of this Act.
  The imposition of a penalty for a violation that occurs before the
  effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect
  immediately before the effective date of this Act, and that law is
  continued in effect for that purpose.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2013.
