| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 497, Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 497.0105 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 497.0105. PRODUCT STICKER. Any article or product | ||
| manufactured wholly or partly by a work program participant must | ||
| include a sticker or label with the following language in all | ||
| capital letters: THIS ITEM WAS MADE BY AN INMATE OF THE TEXAS | ||
| DEPARTMENT OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE. | ||
| SECTION 2. Subchapter C, Chapter 497, Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 497.065 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 497.065. PRODUCT STICKER. Any article or product | ||
| manufactured wholly or partly by a participant must include a | ||
| sticker or label with the following language in all capital | ||
| letters: THIS ITEM WAS MADE BY AN INMATE OF A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2023. | ||
