A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the form of ballot propositions in an election seeking
  voter approval for the issuance of school district bonds.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 45.003, Education Code, is amended by
  adding Subsection (g-1) to read as follows:
         (g-1)  The question of whether to approve the issuance of
  bonds for repairs to a facility or item described by Subsection (g)
  is not required to be printed on the ballot as a separate ballot
  proposition.
         SECTION 2.  Section 45.003(g-1), Education Code, as added by
  this Act, applies only to an election ordered on or after the
  effective date of this Act.  An election ordered before the
  effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect when the
  election was ordered, and the former law is continued in effect for
  that purpose.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2023.
