of an interruption in water service. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 92.008, Property Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (a-1) to read as follows: | ||
(a-1) If for any reason water service furnished to a tenant | ||
is interrupted, the landlord must promptly notify the utility | ||
company that is responsible for providing water service of the | ||
interruption in service, including a utility company operated by a | ||
political subdivision. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2021. |
