| relating to the authority of a municipality to allow a person to | ||
| file an application to stop a nonconforming use of a property. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 211.019, Local Government Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Subsection (q) to read as follows: | ||
| (q) This section does not prohibit a municipality from | ||
| adopting or enforcing an ordinance, regulation, or other measure | ||
| that allows a person who resides or owns real property in the | ||
| municipality to file an application to stop a nonconforming use of a | ||
| property. | ||
| SECTION 2. Section 211.019(q), Local Government Code, as | ||
| added by this Act, applies to an ordinance, regulation, or other | ||
| measure adopted by a municipality on, before, or after the | ||
| effective date of this Act. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2025. | ||
