BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 264.004, Family Code, is amended by | ||
adding Subsection (d) to read as follows: | ||
(d) The department may use state and federal funds to | ||
provide grants to charitable and faith-based organizations to | ||
provide the benefits or services to children and families described | ||
by Subsection (c). The executive commissioner shall adopt rules to | ||
implement this subsection, including rules governing the | ||
procedures for applying for and awarding grants. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2017. |
