relating to participation of certain school districts in the | ||
three-year high school diploma plan pilot program. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Section 28.0255(b), Education Code, is amended | ||
to read as follows: | ||
(b) This section applies only to a school district: | ||
(1) with an enrollment of more than 150,000 | ||
students[ |
||

||
population of 2.2 million or more [ |
||
with a population of more than 600,000; or | ||
(2) with an enrollment of more than 5,000 but less than | ||
7,000 students and located primarily in a county that contains the | ||
headwaters of the San Gabriel River. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
Act takes effect September 1, 2015. | ||
